Inside the Making of “Small Things Like These”

Fresh from his Oscar success, Cillian Murphy returns to the big screen in the quiet but powerful role of Bill Furlong, a coal merchant who must follow his conscience in Tim Mielants’ “Small Things Like These.”

Based on the book by Claire Keegan, the plot focuses on the infamous Magdalene Laundries in Ireland where promiscuous women or “fallen women” were incarcerated for life.

I spent some time with Mielants as he takes you behind-the-scenes of the making of “Small Things Like These.”
