I’m a fan of the Super Mario Bros. games but not much of all the films made based on the videogame.  From the John Leguiziamo/Bob Hoskins 1993 cult classic to the Chris Pratt/Charlie Day tandem of today, they’re all fun to watch but ultimately empty.  They’re all missing a compelling story much like the new “Super Mario Galaxy Movie.”

If you’re a fan or a kid at heart, by all means, enjoy the film.  But I’d rather stay home and stream some Easter films (here’s my Top 10 Best Easter Films of all time).
