Hey everybody, Manny the Movie Guy here — and what a weekend at the movies it is! Whether you want to grab the whole family, catch the buzziest horror film of the year, or settle in for the perfect Netflix binge, I have got you covered. This week I am reviewing three very different titles: Toy Story 5 in theaters, Leviticus also in theaters, and I Will Find Younow streaming on Netflix. Let’s dive in! 🎬 Toy Story 5 — ⭐⭐⭐½ (3.5 out of 4 Kisses)

I will be honest with you — when they announced Toy Story 5, I raised an eyebrow. Toy Story 3 felt like the perfect goodbye. And yet, here I am telling you: this movie won me over completely.
Toy Story 5 shifts the spotlight to Jessie (Joan Cusack), the cowgirl who has stepped up as the leader of Bonnie’s toy collection. The story kicks off when Bonnie’s parents bring home a frog-shaped talking tablet called Lilypad — voiced by the wonderful Greta Lee — and suddenly the age of toys feels very much under threat. Lilypad connects Bonnie to the world of online friends, digital playdates, and screen time, and Jessie, still carrying the scars of being abandoned by her original owner years ago, is not having it.
What I love about this film is that it does not take the easy route of making technology the villain. Director Andrew Stanton — the same genius who gave us WALL-E — treats this as a genuine existential question: what does imaginative play mean in a world of screens? And the answer the film arrives at is warm, funny, and surprisingly moving.
Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are wonderful as always in their roles as Woody and Buzz, and Joan Cusack’s Jessie is a total standout — she gets more to do here than in any previous film, and she absolutely delivers. Conan O’Brien also provides solid laughs as a toilet-training game named Smarty Pants. And yes — Taylor Swift wrote and produced an original song for the film called “I Knew It, I Knew You,” and it is a number-one hit for a reason.
The animation is Pixar at its most stunning. There are sequences in this film that will make your jaw drop. And yes — I teared up. More than once.
Is Toy Story 5 as essential as the first three? No. But it is a warm, smart, beautifully made film that earns its place in the franchise. Bring the whole family.

🎬 Leviticus — ⭐⭐⭐½ (3.5 out of 4 Kisses)

If Toy Story 5 is your Friday night family movie, Leviticus is your Friday night date movie — assuming your date is up for something that will haunt them for days.
This Australian supernatural horror film premiered at Sundance earlier this year, and it has been building buzz ever since. And every bit of that buzz is deserved.
Leviticus tells the story of Naim (Joe Bird) and Ryan (Stacy Clausen), two teenage boys in a small, deeply religious community who fall for each other — only to have their relationship torn apart when a so-called “deliverance preacher” performs a conversion exorcism on them. What follows is terrifying: a demonic entity begins pursuing them, one that takes the shape of whoever the victim most desires. Love itself becomes the weapon being used against them.
First-time director Adrian Chiarella has made something genuinely bold here. He is a filmmaker who has drawn on his own experience as a gay man who grew up in a religious school environment, and that personal truth is in every frame. The horror in this film is not cheap or gratuitous — it is rooted in something real. The fear of being told that who you love is monstrous. That is the monster.
Joe Bird, who broke out in the A24 horror hit Talk to Me, delivers a career-defining performance here. He is quiet, wounded, and completely magnetic. His chemistry with Clausen is completely believable — a credit to Chiarella, who reportedly put his two leads through fear-based bonding exercises before filming even began.
Smart, emotional, timely, and genuinely scary — Leviticus is one of the best films of 2026. And it arrives during Pride Month, which feels exactly right.

📺 I Will Find You — ⭐⭐⭐ (3 out of 4 Kisses)

Now for your weekend binge — and trust me, once you start this one, you will not stop.
I Will Find You is the latest Netflix series adapted from a novel by the endlessly prolific thriller writer Harlan Coben, and it follows the formula that has made his adaptations so irresistible: a gripping, outlandish premise, a web of secrets, and just enough twists to keep you hitting “next episode” even when the rational part of your brain is telling you to go to sleep.
Sam Worthington stars as David Burroughs, a father serving a life sentence for the murder of his young son — a crime he has always insisted he did not commit. Five years into his sentence, his former sister-in-law Rachel (Britt Lower) shows up with a photograph that changes everything: his son appears to be alive. What follows is a breakout, a manhunt, a conspiracy, and a race against time to find the truth.
The cast is genuinely excellent. Worthington brings real emotional weight to a father’s desperate love, and Britt Lower — who you may know from Severance — is fantastic as Rachel, the investigative journalist turned unlikely partner in this wild chase. Milo Ventimiglia, Madeleine Stowe, Chi McBride, and Logan Browning round out a terrific ensemble.
Is it perfect? No. It is a Harlan Coben adaptation, which means the plot gets a little outlandish, the conveniences pile up, and you may find yourself occasionally rolling your eyes. But here is the thing — it works anyway. It is addictive television. Eight episodes. Clear your Saturday.

The Bottom Line
What a week. Toy Story 5 for the family, Leviticus for the brave, and I Will Find You for the couch — there is something for everyone, and I am recommending all three. Get out to the movies this weekend, everybody, and let me know what you think!
