Christian Serratos is fantastic as Selena in the new Netflix series “Selena: The Series.” She embodies the pop icon and infuses her performance with enough vulnerability and charm that you will take the journey from start to finish. Take a look at my interview with Christian Serratos as she talks about the preparation to become Selena and how the singing legend influenced her.
“Selena: The Series” is available to stream on Netflix Dec. 4.
I enjoyed the ensemble of “Selena: The Series.” The show is as much about her family as it is about the life of the pop icon. And I’m proud to say that Noemi Gonzalez who played Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla, came from the Coachella Valley! Desert Hot Springs to be exact! And she’s fantastic in the series, the heart of the show! Seidy López is also great as Selena’s mom, Marcella Quintanilla. I spoke with the actresses about what Selena means to them and how they prepared for their roles.
Meet the actors who play Selena’s brother, A.B. Quintanilla (Gabriel Chavarria) and father, Abraham (Ricardo Chavira). They are both great in their roles in this coming-of-age Selena story. I spoke with the actors about their interest in joining the cast, and what they learned about Selena as they were preparing for their roles.
