It was always a pleasure talking to Jai Courtney.  From “Divergent,” to “The Suicide Squad” to “Kaleidoscope,” the Australian actor is always sweet, funny, and knowledgeable about his projects.  And if you want to see Jai in a whole new light, look no further than his latest turn as a dangerous serial killer in Sean Byrne’s “Dangerous Animals.”

In the film, Jai plays Tucker who loves feeding his victims to the sharks.  But he meets his match in Hassie Harrison’s Zephyr who will do anything to save her love, Moses, played by Josh Heuston.

“Dangerous Animals” from IFC and Shudder will be released in North American theaters on June 6th.

After scaring us with 2009’s “The Loved Ones” and 2015’s “The Devil’s Candy,” Australian filmmaker, Sean Byrne, is back with his survivalist thriller “Dangerous Candy.”  Take a look at my interview with the director as he talks to us about his interest in making the shark and serial killer thriller, picking Jai Courtney to play the dangerous Tucker, and the themes of the film.

All I know is if I’m stuck in the middle of the ocean with circling sharks and a dangerous serial killer, I want Hassie Harrison to be there to protect me.  She is fantastic as the heroine Tucker alongside her romantic partner, Josh Heuston as Moses.

I spent some time with both Harrison and Heuston to talk about their characters, how Hassie trained, and what they hope for viewers to get after watching the film.
