Nico Parker is perfect as Astrid Hofferson in the live-action version of “How to Train Your Dragon” from director Dean DeBlois. She inhabits the character’s drive and strength and creates indelible chemistry with co-star Mason Thames aka Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III.
I spent some time with Parker to talk about her interest in joining the cast, how she sees her character Astrid, the movie’s stunts, and the theme that spoke to her the most.
