The riveting and cinematically beautiful “Architecton” is a documentary film written and directed by Victor Kossakovsky about how architecture, humanity, and mother nature intersect.  The film had its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival last year where it was nominated for the Golden Bear and the Berlinale Documentary Film Award.

A24 is releasing “Architecton” in theaters on August 1st.

Take a look at my insightful interview with Kossakovsky as he explains his visual, creative, and thematic decisions in making and completing “Architecton.”
