It was such a breath of fresh air talking to Jett Kylne about his new horror film “Shaman.”  He was brutally honest in saying he hadn’t seen the film yet and that he forgot the feeling about reading the script initially.  But then, his face lit up talking about the experience he had working on the film.

From director Antonio Negret, “Shaman” takes the possession genre and gives it a new twist.  At its heart, the film explores the difference between Christian and indigenous beliefs.  Set in Ecuador, Klyne plays Eliott, the possessed boy in the middle of a tug-of-war between his Christian missionary parents (Sara Canning and Daniel Gillies) and indigenous folks who believe in the supernatural.

Take a look at my interview with Klyne about “Shaman.”

“Shaman” is now out in theaters and digital-at-home.
