Rian Johnson, Josh O’Connor Talk “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery”

Rian Johnson created, perhaps the best of the “Knives Out” franchise, in “Wake Up Dead Man.”  He takes Benoit Blanc to church!  Our detective, still wonderfully played by Daniel Craig, must figure out a murder that happened inside a small town Catholic church.  The film is a smart, character-driven whodunit.  I absolutely love the film and Johnson and star Josh O’Connor who plays a boxer turned priest assigned to work in the church where the murder took place.

In this interview, Johnson explained why he’s taking us to church in this third installment, O’Connor expressed his desire to work on the film, and what they hoped for viewers to get after watching the film.

“Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” is now out in select theaters and will be streaming on Netflix on December 12th.

Mila Kunis, Cailee Spaeny, Kerry Washington Talk “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery”

I loved talking to the “Wake Up Dead Man” cast of actresses namely Mila Kunis, Cailee Spaeny, and Kerry Washington.  They’re sweet and fun, especially Kunis who has beautiful eyes!  When I spoke with her many moons ago for “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” I told her, under the sun-drenched Hawaii location where we were at, that hey eyes were beautiful.  And she said, give him five more minutes HA!
