Daisy Ridley Talks “We Bury The Dead”

It was a pleasure talking to Daisy Ridley.  She was sweet and cordial and in the film “We Bury the Dead,” she’s fierce and guilt-ridden.  From writer-director Zak Hildritch, Ridley stars as Ava Newman, a desperate woman looking for her husband in the aftermath of a catastrophic military experiment.  Teaming up with fellow volunteer Clay (Brenton Thwaites) as part of a body retrieval team, Ava soon discovers that the corpses they’re burying start showing signs of life.

“We Bury the Dead” is creepy and thought-provoking and belongs in the best of the zombie genre.  The film opens nationwide in North American theaters on January 2, 2026.
