The Straw Hat Pirates Speak!  “One Piece: Into the Grand Line” Cast Talks About Season 2, and Being a Scalawag

I had a wonderful time meeting the Straw Hat crew from the popular Netflix series “One Piece.”  They even called me an honorary Straw Hat pirate, yay!

Iñaki Godoy (“Monkey D. Luffy”), Mackenyu (“Roronoa Zoro”), Emily Rudd (“Nami”), Jacob Romero (“Usopp”) and Taz Skylar (“Sanji”) were in great spirits when I met them at the Netflix Headquarters in Hollywood.  Emily teased the second season, Iñaki talked about his experience meeting “One Piece” creator Eiichiro Oda, Jacob discussed working with Tony Tony Chopper (voiced by Mikaela Hoover), Taz revealed how his Sanji character evolves this season, and Mackenyu had a message to the Philippines.

I cannot wait for you to see “One Piece: Into the Grand Line.”  You will cry in episode 2.  Laboon rocks!  By the way, the first two episodes will screen in select theaters on March 10 to coincide with their Netflix release.  The special fan event will be available in the U.S., Canada, and Japan.  Tickets on sale now!

Miss Wednesday Speaks!  Charithra Chandran Talks Joining “One Piece: Into the Grand Line”

I love talking to Charitha Chandran.  She’s passionate, knowledgeable, funny, and sweet!  She joins the cast of Netflix’s “One Piece” as the mysterious Miss Wednesday.  In this interview, we talked about the feeling of being chosen by the franchise creator Eiichiro Oda, how the cast welcomed her with open arms, and what she hopes for viewers to get after watching season 2.
