“Amsterdam”

David O. Russell (“American Hustle,” “Silver Linings Playbook”) returns with “Amsterdam” and brings Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Robert De Niro.  Heck, Taylor Swift even makes an appearance.  But is the film good?  Is it Oscar worthy?

“Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile”

Based on the books by Bernard Waber, pop star Sahwn Mendes voices the role of Lyle, a crocodile who can’t talk but can sing!  But can the movie carry a tune?

“Catherine Called Birdy”

A forward-thinking teenager who uses everything to thwart her parents’ wishes to get her to marry.  See why I’m calling Lena Dunham’s “Catherine Called Birdy” a refreshing take on coming-of-age stories.
