The Academy Awards went off without a hitch in an evening full of predictable winners, half-baked jokes, and a near-naked John Cena.  Jimmy Kimmel served as the host of the evening that saw Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” took home the best picture award as well as direction, supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr., actor for Cillian Murphy, original score, cinematography, and editing.

Emma Stone beat frontrunner Lily Gladstone to win the Best Actress trophy for “Poor Things.”  The Yorgos Lanthimos film also won production design, costume, and hair and makeup.
