I met Coachella Valley and music icon Trini Lopez last year to talk to him about his latest collaboration with songwriting partner Joe Chavira. But before that, I’d bump into him in various desert functions. Trini was always a gregarious, sweet, and very humble soul. I was saddened by his death, we lost another legend, but he’s singing up in the skies. Rest in Peace Trini Lopez and thank you for the music.
