Milo Ventimiglia and Tim Timmons Talk “I Can Only Imagine 2”

It was great to virtually meet Milo Ventimiglia and his movie doppelganger Tim Timmons for the sequel to “I Can Only Imagine.”  This time, the film focuses on the songwriting process of “Even If,” inspired by singer-songwriter Timmons’ real-life battle with stage 4 cancer and his perspective on faith despite suffering.  The song became No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart for three weeks for the band MercyMe from their 2017 studio album Lifer.

Ventimiglia and Timmons talk about the making of “I Can Only Imagine 2.”

“I Can Only Imagine 2” from Lionsgate arrives in theaters on February 20th.

John Michael Finley, Bart Millard, Sammy Dell Talk “I Can Only Imagine 2”

John Michael Finley returns as Bart Millard of MercyMe in “I Can Only Imagine 2.”  The first film released in 2018 made $85.2 million at the worldwide box-office against a production budget of $7 million.  If the original was about the creation of MercyMe’s “I Can Only Imagine” song, the sequel is the creative process of making the “Even If” single amidst personal and professional drama.

In this interview, Finley, Millard, and Sammy Dell who plays Bart’s son Sam, take us behind-the-scenes of the making of “I Can Only Imagine 2.”

Sophie Skelton and Arielle Kebbel Interview for “I Can Only Imagine 2”

Arielle Kebbel stars as Tim Timmons’ wife Hillary while Sophie Skelton replaces Madeline Carroll to play Shannon Street, Bart Millard’s (John Michael Finley) wife.  Take a look at my fun interview with the actresses from “I Can Only Imagine 2.”

Dennis Quaid and Director Andrew Erwin Talk “I Can Only Imagine 2”

Dennis Quaid returns as Arthur Millard in “I Can Only Imagine 2.”  He passed away in the first film but his character returns in flashback scenes to strengthen the family dynamics of the true-life story between Arthur and his son Bart played by John Michael Finley.  Together with director Andrew Erwin, Quaid elaborates on his experience returning for the sequel and what he hopes for viewers to get after watching the sequel.

Bonus:  Since I interviewed them late last year during the Holidays, I asked them about their favorite films from 2025.  Take a look!
